Third Wednesday of Every Month

9-10 am

Join us every month for coffee, donuts, networking, and introductions to our incredible member organizations.

The Confab, CLA’s oldest tradition, is a free event open to all with an interest in literacy. Each session includes presentations from two member organizations, announcements about upcoming projects and collaboration opportunities, time to catch up with contacts and make new connections, and tours of the Literacenter for new attendees interested in membership.

This month will feature presentations from two more incredible member organizations. Emerald City Theatre is one of Chicago’s most-attended nonprofit theater companies. Their signature outreach initiative, One Fund, provides a free performance and free companion book to low-income Chicago Public Schools (CPS) students.  iAchieve Learning specializes in providing one-on-one tutoring for grades K-12 in all subject areas as well as music instruction for all ages. They seek to work with both students and families to identify and strengthen any weaknesses or gaps in learning.

Have an announcement you’d like shared? Please email Michelle Aldridge.
